The EnergySmart Pilot Gala Event is a celebration of achievements. We are not just celebrating the end of a pilot; rather, we are also celebrating the beginning of a new future. Our EnergySmart Ambassadors and participants have paved the way for energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainability conscious societies. We will recognize their achievements to move towards a brighter future ahead.

2007-06-04 - Share IT receives the prestigious 2007 Canadian Environment Award
Community Environment Alliance scaled new heights after winning the silver award in the 'Sustainable Living' section of the 2007 Canadian Environment Awards, held at the Montreal Science Centre. The award was presented by Jim Mather (CEO of Shell Canada), Michael Horgan (Deputy Minister of the Environment, Government of Canada) and the Chair of Canadian Geographic.

2005-11-03 - Share IT receives OTF Chair's Award

CEA's Share IT program is the WINNER of the 2005 Great Grants Chair's Award of the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The OTF's Great Grant Awards are tribute to excellence. The Chair's Award recognizes the grant that best exemplifies the building of healthy and vibrant communities that meet diverse needs. The Share IT program is selected out of 3800 eligible grant recipients!

The the huge success of previous collection events gave us high expectations for this day, expectations which we were unfortunately unable to meet. It was still a great day with sun, fun, music and a large group of supporters.

Two months after our first Neighbourhood Collection event, this collection was even bigger and more fruitful than we could have imagined! We had so many donations we ran out of room to put the equipment.
