The EnerPoint system is designed to reward the Ambassadors, residents, and businesses for promoting and adopting energy efficient choices. The point system is centered on result-based outcomes for individuals or community action. Earning EnerPoints is simple, quick and easy:

• 1 point for every incandescent lightbulb replaced with a compact fluorescent lightbulb
• 1 point for turning off lights and unplugging unused appliances to reduce phantom loads
• 2 points for checking whether an appliance is EnergyStar approved before purchasing it
• 3 points for registering in peaksaver program to reduce peak demand of eletricity
• 4 points for participating in a solar technology forum to learn about renewable energy options

Every Ambassador, residence, and business participating in EnergySmart can earn EnerPoints and get recognized in a variety of ways.

Ambassadors can earn Referral Points for motivating and engaging their peers into EnergySmart.

Special Achievement Awards will be given to the ambassador with most earned EnerPoints, and the Most Valued ambassador(s) (qualification criteria apply). Top 5 families and 2 Businesses earning the most EnerPoints through their actions will also be recognized as EnergySmart Citizens and Businesses in Peel.
